We set out to make Ignite a mindblowing debut album and I think you'll see and hear that the results speak for themselves.
Making a great song is a challenge in itself, starting with the songwriting. When we write songs we may start with just a guitar riff, vocal hook, or drum beat. From there we build them into demos of the full songs as we will record them in the studio. While it's a labor of love, there's still a lot of work involved! From there we lay down guitar, bass, and drums with a "guide" vocal. Once that is sounding tight, then I'll go back and overdub the "real" vocals. Along the way, we'll add all the extra fun stuff like guitar solos, synths, piano, loops, and more. At this point we take a step back and make sure each song is as good as it can be. Then we move into mixing mode, where I balance all the tracks and get the sonics sounding as good as possible. Finally, we send the mixes off to our mastering engineer Maor Appelbaum who helps makes sure it will sound consistent whether you are listening in your car, on your computer, or through headphones.
